In October, Jerry and Gayle drove the entire Cascade Loop Scenic Highway in Washington looking for Fall colors.

Day 1 was spent in Leavenworth.

Enjoy this episode of Adventures with Jerry and Gayle where they search for fall colors along the river and waterfalls along highway 2 and then find out what shenanigans they can get into in the Bavarian-themed village of Leavenworth, Washington in the Cascade Mountains..

“Our first stop was Tumwater Canyon on highway 2 near Leavenworth. There are several picnic areas and pull outs to explore. The colors were spectacular and the river clear and green. Of course we made new friends along the way.

Our favorite stop was at the red bridge. In the summer time we’ve watched kayakers from this spot. The bridge leads to a trail on the other side, but we enjoyed the view headed to the town of Leavenworth.

There are lots of interesting shops to explore in Leavenworth. Jerry’s all-time favorite is the Hat Shop, so we went inside and had some fun.

Fall festivities happen all month long in Leavenworth, Washington and it’s a great time to come and enjoy nature’s fall colors and to celebrate Octoberfest!”
